Kasco Marine is a leading supplier and innovator of aerators, diffused aeration, floating decorative fountains, de-icing products, circulators, and tank mixers. Kasco has a well-established reputation for quality products offered to the residential, aquaculture, commercial, industrial, municipal, and resort industries. Position Overview: Kasco Marine is seeking a positive, open-minded Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team. Essential Job Responsibilities: · Design, develop, and improve mechanical systems, components, and equipment to meet production and quality standards. · Collaborate cross-functionally with quality, production, warehouse, and supply chain teams to solve problems and drive process improvements. · Apply sound engineering principles to support new product development, tooling design, and process optimization. · Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action implementation for product or process issues. · Support capital projects and assist in specifying or commissioning new equipment and systems. · Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, focusing on efficiency, reliability, and safety. · Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences, fostering teamwork and shared understanding across departments. · Document designs, test results, and changes according to company procedures and regulatory requirements. Physical Requirements: Required to sit or stand for extended periods of time. Ability to lift 50lbs of equipment and materials. Requirements Required Qualifications: · Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. · 5+ years of experience in a mechanical or manufacturing engineering role, preferably in a production environment. · Proficiency in 3D CAD (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo, or similar) and experience with mechanical design, tolerance analysis, and materials selection. · Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, such as machining, metal forming, injection molding, or assembly. · Demonstrated problem-solving mindset, adaptability, and eagerness to learn and share ideas. · Excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills; able to build trust and collaborate effectively across all levels and departments. · Positive attitude required with a focus on solutions, growth, and team success. Preferred Qualifications: · Familiarity with Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement principles.
