Position Summary: The Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and adapting production equipment to support our manufacturing operations. This role will work closely with the Engineering and Operations teams to improve process efficiency, increase production capacity, and reduce costs, while maintaining strict adherence to product specifications and quality standards.   Education and Experience Requirements: * Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field. * Knowledge of engineering principles, i.e. statics and dynamics, stress, deflection and motor size requirement calculations. * Working knowledge of machine components; bearings, couplings, gears, actuators, motors, chains, spindles, springs, ball screws, pneumatics, * Working knowledge of fabrication techniques; machining processes, welding/sheet metal fabrication, water/laser cutting technologies, EDM.   Additional Qualifications: (Preferred qualifications, certifications, and/or licenses) * LEAN training * OSHA Machine Guarding   Essential Responsibilities: * Manage projects by leading teams and ensure positive progress toward goals and deliverables. * Design and develop custom machines and equipment based on internal customer specifications. * Collaborate closely with electrical, maintenance, and production teams to support equipment maintenance and troubleshoot issues. * Support operations through equipment optimization, process improvements, and system upgrades. * Develop and maintain detailed engineering drawings and Bills of Materials. * Create and implement maintenance procedures and spare parts plans. * Hosting team meetings, following created agendas and providing meeting notes. * Perform additional engineering and project-related duties as required.   Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: * Proficiency in 3D and 2D CAD modeling software, preferably SolidWorks and AutoCAD. * Ability to create detailed engineering drawings, assemblies, and part documentation. * Strong understanding of mechanical detailing, tolerance analysis, and design verification principles. * Effective organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. * Ability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve mechanical design and equipment issues. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. * Proven ability to build constructive working relationships across diverse teams and functions. * Self-motivated with strong project management, prioritization, and time management abilities. * Experience with inspection, metrology, and material specification. * Experience with machining and other fabrication techniques. * Experience in writing and modification of programs in Visual Basic is a plus.
