Previous experience in similar role
 Recognised apprenticeship/time served in electrical or mechanical engineering
 Strong hand tool skills – bench fitting
 Strong understanding of machining processes
 Strong understanding of engineering material properties
 Strong understanding of engineering design principles
 Strong problem solving, Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Continuous Improvement (CI) skills
 Strong understanding of working safely and risk perception
 Strong understanding of reading technical drawings (CAD)
 Experience of working with all types of pumps, motors and rotating equipment
 Experience of working with manufacturing lines
 Experience of working in a fast-paced environment  Experience of good engineering practices
 Ability to work to tight deadlines  Ability to work well as part of a team
 Ability to work well independently with a brief from the client or project manager
 Ability to organise sub componentry for any assemblies where required  Ability to design bespoke solutions for the client or needs of a Project Manager
 Good communication skills as this will be a client facing role
 Good at using Microsoft packages at a basic level to write reports and interact with spreadsheets
 Desired: experience working from MEWPs & Scissor Lifts
 Desired: experience working in a blue chip factory environment
 Desired: IOSH certification
