Rolle Hive Robotics is building Europe's first full-stack orchestration platform for unmanned systems, connecting, controlling, and commanding multi-vendor drone and robot swarms. Our RF communication systems are Made in Germany, deployed on active frontlines, and targeting a €5B European tactical communication market with zero sovereign alternatives today. We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to support the mechanical design and integration of our electronic hardware portfolio, from rapid prototypes to field-ready serial production. You will work closely with our electronics and manufacturing teams to bring robust, ruggedized hardware from concept to the field. Verantwortlichkeiten Design & Integration Support the mechanical design and integration of electronic components across our hardware portfolio, including communication modules, autopilot hardware, GNSS systems, antenna designs, ground-station devices, and more Contribute to moving products from concept to prototype to serial production Support material selection and design decisions for ruggedized, field-ready hardware Prototyping & Testing Build and test prototypes using rapid fabrication methods (3D printing, machining) Support hardware bring-up, environmental & thermal testing, and regulatory compliance activities (e.g., CE, EMC) Create and maintain test setups, fixtures, and validation procedures Cross-functional Collaboration Work closely with electronics, electrical, and manufacturing partners on integration into customer platforms (drones, UGVs, maritime systems) Support supply chain and make/buy decisions in the mechanical domain Document designs, tests, and production workflows with high clarity Anforderungen Must Have Bachelor's or Master's degree in mechanical, aerospace, electrical, or mechatronics engineering 2+ years of experience in mechatronics, hardware prototyping, or industrialization (robotics, automotive, aerospace, consumer electronics, or similar) Hands-on experience with prototyping methods: machining, 3D printing, rapid fabrication Good CAD proficiency (Fusion360, CATIA, NX, or similar) Basic experience with electronics testing tools (oscilloscopes, harnessing, board bring-up) Strong documentation, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills Fluent English and strong German Nice to Have Experience with environmental, thermal, connector, or ruggedized design Experience with robotic systems (UAVs, UGVs, maritime platforms) RC/drone pilot or hobby robotics background Knowledge of EMC, reliability, or environmental testing standards Experience with international suppliers or industrial partners Basic software/scripting experience for testing or data logging About us Why Hive Real ownership from day one in a fast-scaling deep-tech company with products already in serial production and in the field.
