The Mechanical Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

• 5-8+ years of experience in a Mechanical Engineering position, working on relevant process plant projects
• Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar
• Experience across processing operations including crushing, milling, materials handling and wet processing
• Previous experience with material handling equipment including conveyors, crushers, chutes, bins and slurry pumping systems
• Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, calculations and design requirements
• Experience designing and delivering mineral processing plants through the full project lifecycle
• Proficient with 3D modelling and engineering design software
• Able to lead and mentor mechanical engineering teams
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work closely with clients and multidisciplinary teams

The Mechanical Engineer role will involve:

• Leading mechanical designs and engineering projects from concept through to delivery
• Leading and mentoring mechanical engineering teams
• Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, including Electrical and Structural Engineering
• Producing 3D models, engineering drawings and technical documentation
• Completing engineering calculations and technical assessments
• Reviewing and approving models, drawings and engineering calculations
• Supporting procurement activities, including identifying and engaging suitable vendors
• Reviewing supplier proposals and technical documentation
• Liaising directly with clients and other project stakeholders
• Providing engineering support throughout construction and installation
• Contributing to the successful delivery of major process plant projects
