JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in mechanical principles and demonstrate proficiency in various engineering software and tools. This role involves designing, developing, and testing mechanical systems and components, ensuring they meet both functionality and safety standards.

EXPERIENCE

Candidates should have a solid background in mechanical engineering with experience in the following areas:

  • Proficiency in CAD software, particularly SolidWorks.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in system design.
  • Familiarity with logic controllers and their integration into mechanical systems.
  • Experience using MATLAB and Simulink for engineering applications.
  • Understanding of GD&T principles for effective design communication.
  • Capability to perform root cause analysis on engineering challenges.

Responsibilities
  • Design and develop mechanical systems using CAD software, particularly SolidWorks.
  • Conduct system design and analysis to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Utilise MATLAB and Simulink for modelling and simulation of mechanical systems.
  • Apply GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles in design documentation.
  • Perform root cause analysis to identify issues in existing designs or processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate logic controllers into mechanical systems.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of designs, tests, and modifications.
  • Conduct testing and validation of prototypes in accordance with industry standards.
  • Utilise LabView for data acquisition and control during testing phases.
