The Opportunity

Morgan Jones is recruiting on behalf of a specialist engineering and manufacturing company operating within a niche global market. This is an excellent opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer to join a growing team and contribute to the design and development of bespoke industrial equipment and systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Convert process designs into practical mechanical solutions
• Produce 2D drawings using AutoCAD
• Create 3D models using Inventor or SolidWorks
• Prepare assembly and manufacturing drawings
• Create and update bills of materials
• Assist with the preparation of P&IDs
• Support structural and piping design activities
• Select mechanical components and prepare supporting documentation
• Ensure quality and inspection requirements are incorporated into designs
• Support new product and capability development
• Assist with material and equipment costing where required

About You

• Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a similar discipline
• Graduate or possess up to two years' relevant experience
• Knowledge of fluid mechanics or pressure vessel design would be advantageous
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and CAD software
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Effective communicator with the ability to work across multiple departments
• Self-motivated, organised and analytical
