CANDIDATE SPECIFICATION
Required for the position;
- degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services;
- achieved or working towards Chartership (CEng)
- knowledge of Mechanical systems and services / Building Services Engineering Design across a wide range of market sectors
- working knowledge of AutoCAD
- working knowledge of mechanical services design tools
Preferred but not required
- ability to support within a BIM environment would be an advantage;
- knowledge of MS suite.

Responsibilities:
As a Mechanical Engineer, your role will include assessing and understanding project requirements, undertaking mechanical design across a number of disciplines and agreeing timescales and specifications with clients and managers. Leading and directing junior staff, you will be actively involved in the preparation of documents, reports and health and safety risk assessments as well as interpreting commercial and/or contractual aspects of correspondence with or between fellow professionals on multidisciplinary projects.
A bit about the team
The Built Environment Team in Northern Ireland and Ireland collaborates on a wide variety of projects in the Built Environment, Transport, Water and Advisory sectors across our three offices, in Belfast, Dublin and Cork. There are also close links with our sister offices all over the UK.
