Description

Multi Trades Recruitment are seeking a talented Mechanical Engineer to join us in delivering outstanding maintenance services across a busy Accommodation site.
Position: Mechanical Engineer
Location: Commercial Building (Facilities Management)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reactive and Planned Maintenance: Perform PPM routines and attend to reactive repairs on a variety of electrical and mechanical installations, including AHUs, pumps, fan coil units, motors, and control systems.
  • Troubleshooting and Diagnostics: Skillfully diagnose and repair faults in electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Emergency Breakdown Support: Respond to reactive tasks and breakdowns promptly, minimizing downtime.
  • General Maintenance Tasks: Conduct electrical repairs, testing, installations, plumbing maintenance, water management, lighting repairs, and bulb replacement.
  • Building Services Support: Provide fabric maintenance, support to sub-contractors and insurance inspections, and ensure compliance with SHEQ standards.
  • Documentation and Compliance: Support documentation control and assist the Compliance Team Leader, ensuring team adherence to safety and quality procedures, including mandatory training and weekly team meetings.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Mechanical Expertise: Proven experience with PPM and reactive maintenance in commercial facilities, with basic plumbing knowledge.
  • Schematics Proficiency: Capable of reading and working from mechanical and electrical schematics.
  • System Knowledge: Skilled in the maintenance of AHUs, pumps, fan coil units, motors, and control systems.
  • Compliance-Oriented: Adherence to SHEQ controls and commitment to ‘no life at risk’ standards.
