About the Role: The Mechanical Engineer will play a crucial role in optimizing our manufacturing processes, designing mechanical systems, and ensuring the efficient operation of our production facilities. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the continuous improvement of our production capabilities, ensuring that we maintain our high standards of quality and efficiency.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience: Proven experience as a Mechanical Engineer in a manufacturing or industrial setting, preferably within the packaging industry.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in CAD software and other engineering design tools.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations, particularly in safety and quality control.
- Experience with project management and the ability to oversee large-scale projects from inception to completion.
- Soft Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, strong organizational skills, and effective communication skills.

Responsibilities:
- Functional Analysis: Develop and review functional statements, organizational charts, and project information to identify worker functions, responsibilities, and areas of duplication within work units.
- Work Measurement Programs: Establish work measurement programs, analyze work samples, and develop standards for labor utilization to optimize workforce efficiency.
- Operational Efficiency: Analyze workforce utilization, facility layout, operational data, and production schedules and costs to determine optimal worker and equipment efficiencies.
- Mechanical Design: Design mechanical equipment, machines, components, and products for manufacture, as well as plant and systems for construction.
- Specification Development: Develop detailed specifications for manufacturing, determining materials, equipment, piping, material flows, capacities, and layout for plant construction and systems.
- Project Management: Organize and manage project labor, ensuring the timely delivery of materials, plant, and equipment required for various projects.
- Standards and Policies: Establish and enforce standards and policies for installation, modification, quality control, testing, inspection, and maintenance, adhering to engineering principles and safety regulations.
- Performance Inspections: Conduct regular inspections of mechanical systems and equipment to ensure optimal performance and address any issues promptly.
- Maintenance Coordination: Direct the maintenance of mechanical systems and coordinate new design requirements, surveys, and maintenance schedules.
- Plant Operations Oversight: Plan, design, organize, and oversee the assembly, erection, commissioning, operation, and maintenance of mechanical and process plant installations.
