We’re looking for a dedicated and skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our high-performing engineering team in the theme park industry. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, love solving mechanical challenges, and care deeply about safety and innovation, this is your chance to become part of something extraordinary. You will spend 7 months on Nights during our peak season and revert back to days during the colder, winter months.

Responsibilities

As a Mechanical Engineer, you’ll be at the heart of the magic—maintaining and optimizing the performance of world-class rides and attractions from a variety of manufacturers. Your daily impact will ensure unforgettable guest experiences, operational excellence, and uncompromising safety.

You’ll take ownership of:

  • Routine Inspections: From ride tracks to vehicles, motors to hydraulics—you’ll check it all. Identify wear and tear, misalignments, or potential safety concerns before they become issues.
  • Track & Vehicle Checks: Assess track integrity, vehicle operation, wheel and axle condition, and suspension systems.
  • Safety System Validation: Ensure restraints, safety barriers, and emergency shutdown systems meet rigorous safety standards.
  • Sensor Functionality Testing: Calibrate and test sensors (proximity, load, temperature, etc.) to ensure accurate operation.
  • Motor & Brake System Inspections: Examine mechanical and control components for optimal function under all conditions.
  • Operational Readiness: Confirm control systems and communication protocols are fully functional and safe for operation.

You won’t just keep the fun running you’ll help rebuild it. As part of our major Annual Maintenance & Inspection programs, you’ll get hands-on with:

  • Complete Ride Overhauls
  • Safety Systems & Risk Management
  • Troubleshooting & Repairs
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to solve technical challenges and implement solutions
