Position Overview We are seeking a motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our core engineering team. In this role, you will support the design, development, and testing of hardware critical to our kinetic launch technology. You’ll work across a variety of subsystems—from high pressure gas systems, thermal protection systems, to structures—helping to build and refine the hardware that powers our launch and vehicle platforms. This is a hands-on role with opportunities for growth in both technical and leadership tracks. You’ll collaborate closely with senior engineers and cross-functional teams including mechanical, electrical, fluids, and aerospace engineers. Key Responsibilities Assist in the design, testing, and integration of all systems for the accelerator and vehicle. Contribute to design, manufacture, and test for key subsystems. Participate in the assembly, testing, and troubleshooting hardware in lab and field environments. Support development and debugging of embedded firmware within our data acquisition systems. Create and maintain technical documentation for electronic and firmware systems. Collaborate with senior engineers to ensure electrical systems meet performance and reliability goals. Support integration of electrical systems with mechanical, fluids, and software components. Preferred Experience & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Systems Engineering preferred. 0–3 years experience in a hands-on test, design, manufacturing or R&D setting. Experience with high-pressure gas/fluid systems in excess of 500 psi in large volumes. Exposure to hydrogen safety, rocket test, or propulsion lab environments a bonus. Strong organizational and executional skills, including documentation and planning. Passion for learning, problem solving, and working as part of a fast-moving team.
