ASSIGNMENT DESCRIPTION
As a Mechanical Engineer you will work to ensure the quality of the mechanical and piping disciplines of key hydrogen developments for Statkraft. You will develop scopes of work and specifications, evaluate proposals, verify deliverables, develop layouts and arrangements, and participate in design and constructability reviews. You will work in close cooperation with the other hydrogen engineering disciplines and as an integrated part of the hydrogen project teams. You will also perform site visits and inspections on our project sites and suppliers’ factories.
- Be a technical authority within mechanical and piping for hydrogen and derivative projects
- Take responsibility for equipment packages in Hydrogen projects
- Support development of specifications and templates for mechanical equipment, devices and systems
- Verify and review project documentation such as mechanical datasheets, layouts, arrangements, materials selection, MTOs, performance curves, piping routes and piping stress analysis
- Ensure design compliance with standards, codes and regulations
- Participate in assessments such as ALARP/HAZID/HAZOP, audits and reviews
- Contribute and verify RAM analyses for the asset
- Follow-up contractors during installation, mechanical completion and commissioning
- Work closely with process, technical safety, electrical and automation disciplines
- Support development of HSE, O&M and Execution strategies
QUALIFICATIONS
- University degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
- 10+years’ experience in the oil & gas or chemical industries
- Broad knowledge of international standards and codes is required
- Experience with hydrogen plants, e-fuel plants or ammonia plants is an advantage
- Experience in specifying equipment for hydrogen is an advantage
- Experience with hydrogen compression is an advantage
- Experience with process piping is an advantage
- Familiarity with hydrogen electrolysis OEMs systems is desirable
- Fluent in English, both oral and written
