Philip Doyle Manufacturing Inc specializes in the design, engineering, and fabrication of the following products:
- Industrial duty HVAC (heating, ventilation & air conditioning) equipment to operate in heavy industrial environments with extreme heat, dust, dirt, and corrosion.
- Prefabricated metal buildings including (Electrical rooms, operator control pulpits, battery storage, VFD, MCC, Switchgear, etc.)
- Crane operator cabins complete with operator chair and joystick controls.
We service the primary metals industry (steel , aluminum, other), refineries, mining, cement, pulp & paper, oil & gas, chemical, electrical utilities, waste & water, and many other industrialize end users. Our business was founded in 1966 and is based in Hamilton, Ontario.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Licensed or Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario complete with PEO’s mandatory continuing professional development program, administered through the Practice Evaluation and Knowledge (PEAK) program.
- Post-Secondary Degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant experience.
- 5 years direct work experience in Mechanical Engineering specifically related to HVAC equipment.
- Experience in HVAC design projects.
- Acquire in-depth knowledge of applicable standard and codes such as Building codes, ASHRAE, OSHA and other applicable standards and codes related to the company product line.
- Ability to develop non-standard solutions.
- Ability to work in a multi-disciplined team.
- Willingness to learn, develop and apply new techniques, standards and processes.
- Excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational, time management and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced user of Microsoft Office.
- Business fluency in English, both written and verbal. Additional language fluency is a plus.
- Demonstrated proficiency in application of modeling, analysis, design and development of products and systems.
- Must be hands on and have experience in working in HVAC preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated ability of working in product development teams
- Demonstrated proficiency with data analysis including statistical and uncertainty analysis.
- Demonstrated ability in designing experiments, interpreting experimental data, conducting analysis, drawing conclusions and preparing summary reports.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, and regulations.
- Demonstrated computer proficiency in all business-related software packages (e.g. MS Office), as well as experience with specific applications and programs related to design engineering (i.e., AutoCAD, Solidworks, etc)
- Working knowledge of project management, materials, manufacturing processes and business processes
- Working knowledge of new product and technology development processes
- Knowledge of electrical/controls an asset (sequence of operation, diagrams, code)
- Willingness to take on additional tasks as needed.
- Has a valid and current driver’s license.
- Has a valid and current passport.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
