Role Summary As a Mechanical Engineer on this high-end hotel project, you will play a key role in ensuring the mechanical / MEP systems are designed, installed, tested, and commissioned to the highest standards. You will coordinate across stakeholders, manage site execution, and help translate technical drawings into successful built outcomes. Key Responsibilities Design & Planning Review mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, fire protection, and other MEP drawings and specifications. Perform quantity take-offs, measurements, and technical certifications related to mechanical scopes. Contribute to the development of mechanical system layouts, risers, schematic diagrams, and technical packages. Prepare and review material specifications, technical submittals, and shop drawings. Participate in risk assessments, constructability reviews, and value engineering studies. Project Coordination & Scheduling Coordinate mechanical works schedule in alignment with overall project milestones, site sequencing, and interfaces with structural, architectural, and other trades. Monitor progress of mechanical works, flag delays, and propose corrective actions. Liaise with subcontractors, consultants, suppliers, and inspectors to ensure coordination, timely deliverables, and compliance. Site Execution & Quality Assurance Oversee mechanical material deliveries, storage, inspections, and installation on site. Perform regular site inspections, quality control checks, and technical issue resolution. Ensure installations comply with contractual drawings, standards, codes, and manufacturer requirements. Witness and document mechanical testing, commissioning, balancing, and handover activities. Review and certify site works executed by subcontractors, including as-built records. Reporting & Documentation Prepare monthly (or periodic) mechanical work progress reports, forecasting, risk logs, and technical memos. Maintain up-to-date mechanical documentation, drawings, checklists, and inspection records. Assist in preparing final handover packages, maintenance documentation, and warranties. Degree in Mechanical Engineering 3+ years of relevant experience, ideally in hotel or hospitality projects Strong knowledge of MEP systems and construction processes Familiarity with Greek/European mechanical codes, standards, and best practices. Proven experience with subcontractor management, site supervision, and quality control. Understanding of sustainability / energy efficiency measures (e.g. renewable integration, HVAC optimization).
