ABOUT YOU

PROK is looking for a degree qualified Engineer with a few years of work experience under their belt that is eager for the opportunity to go above and beyond, tackle projects and genuinely contribute to the ongoing success of a market-leading business. You will be a:

  • Qualified Professional: Completion of Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Engineering (B.E). You will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in Engineering positions within manufacturing and/or project delivery environments. Exposure to bulk material handling or heavy industrial/mining industries would also be advantageous.
  • Enthusiastic Learner: You are eager to absorb new information and experiences while working with our talented and experienced team of engineers.
  • Methodical and Passionate Persona: Driven by processes but excited by the chance to be creative.
  • Innovative Mindset: You will bring a fresh perspective to PROK’s projects, seeking out areas of improvement and the ability to drive those projects to completion.
  • Strong Communicator: You will be able to develop collaborative partnerships with customers, suppliers, sales teams and our manufacturing department. You will be capable of gathering, understanding and then communicating customer issues.
Responsibilities
  • Engineering Design: Take part in ensuring our client’s engineering needs are met by preparing drawings, specifications, calculations and models in a timely manner that satisfies the brief.
  • Operational Excellence: Focus on process change and continuous improvement to drive better production outcomes. Design, implement and audit these changes, driving projects from inception to completion.
  • Product Testing: Develop and execute the testing of designs, customer supplied parts and prototypes. Communicate your findings with all relevant stakeholders, including site visits where required.
  • Sales Support: Collaborate with the Sales department by providing technical support via drawings, models and materials for customer proposals and attending customer meetings for technical input.
  • Supplier Management: Review and identify opportunities for the supply for alternative parts and met with suppliers concerning product requirements.
  • Customer Order Delivery: Review specifications, drawings, scopes of work and PROK proposals to understand technical delivery requirements for customers
