MECHANICAL ENGINEER – KILBURN, SOUTH AUSTRALIA
Kogan People Solutions are working with a leading facility specialising in the recycling of various plastic materials, based in Kilburn, SA.
ABOUT THE FULL-TIME ONGOING ROLE
As the business continues to grow, our client is now seeking a qualified and talented Mechanical Engineer to join their busy team. You will be responsible for applying your expertise to solving complex mechanical engineering issues and you will work closely with the Management team, allocating resources and ensuring successful delivery of projects. The role is full-time and on-going.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE NEW MECHANICAL ENGINEER WILL INCLUDE
Design and Development: Creating and developing mechanical systems, components, and products using CAD software. This includes designing machinery and equipment used in the recycling process.
Research and Innovation: Conducting research to develop new products or improve existing ones. This involves staying updated with the latest technologies and innovations in plastics recycling.
Testing and Validation: Performing simulations and testing to validate designs and ensure they meet performance criteria. This includes analyzing mechanical systems for reliability, durability, and efficiency.
Problem-Solving: Identifying and solving engineering problems using analytical methods and tools. This includes conducting failure analysis and implementing corrective actions.
Maintenance and Supervision: Overseeing maintenance operations, including the maintenance of electrical systems, forklifts, skid-steer loaders, and other mechanical equipment. This also involves supervising a team of maintenance technicians.
Collaboration: Working closely with testing and quality assurance teams to ensure designs meet performance and safety standards. This includes providing training and technical support to production personnel.
Documentation: Maintaining accurate documentation of manufacturing processes, including process flow diagrams, standard operating procedures, and work instructions.
Communication: Effectively communicating with team members and stakeholders to ensure alignment on design goals and requirements.
