Our client, a prominent Main Contractor, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join their on-site team in Kildare. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to impactful, high-profile projects with a leading engineering and construction organization.

WELDING SKILL DEVELOPMENT

• Collaborate with senior engineers to enhance welding techniques, processes, and quality control measures.

WPQR AND WELDER QUALIFICATIONS

• Assist in drafting, reviewing, and implementing Preliminary Welding Procedure Specifications (pWPS).
• Support welder qualification processes and coordinate certification tests.

EDUCATION

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

EXPERIENCE

• 3-5 years in a mechanical engineering role, with a focus or strong interest in welding.

SKILLS

• Solid understanding of mechanical systems and engineering principles.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (knowledge of Microsoft Access is a plus).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with WPQR qualifications and welder certifications.
• NDT certification or active pursuit of such qualifications.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

• Valid European driving license.
• Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
