Our client, a leading specialist in air conditioning and mechanical services, is looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join their Melbourne team. This is an excellent opportunity to work across a diverse range of commercial and building services projects while being part of a supportive and technically driven team.

The Opportunity

As a Mechanical Engineer, you'll be involved across the design and delivery of mechanical services projects, working closely with clients, project teams, consultants, and contractors to deliver high-quality engineering outcomes.

You'll have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects and play an important role in the ongoing growth of the business.

  • Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and engineer mechanical HVAC and air conditioning systems.
  • Prepare technical documentation, calculations, specifications, and drawings.
  • Coordinate mechanical designs with other building services disciplines.
  • Work closely with project managers, clients, consultants, and contractors.
  • Provide technical support throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Assist with site inspections, troubleshooting, and project delivery where required.
  • Ensure designs meet relevant Australian Standards, codes, and project requirements.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement across engineering and project delivery processes.

About You To be successful in this role, you'll have:

  • Minimum 5 years' relevant Mechanical Engineering experience, ideally within HVAC, building services, or air conditioning.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical services design and engineering principles.
  • Experience working on commercial or large-scale building projects.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • The ability to work independently while also contributing effectively within a wider project team.
  • A practical, solutions-focused approach to engineering.
  • Full working rights in Australia.
  • Ideally, you will be based in Melbourne's Northern suburbs or within a reasonable commuting distance.
