Description Strang is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team and contribute to our Design Synchronicity Culture. As a key member of our organization, you will collaborate closely with Strang's team of design professionals on a diverse range of compelling projects. Duties and Responsibilities: Design and develop HVAC systems for buildings and structures. Collaborate with engineers and architects to ensure seamless integration of HVAC systems with other building systems. Produce mechanical drawings and specifications across all design phases, including Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction/Bid Documents, Permit Documents and Construction Administration. Conduct load and energy calculations Assist in feasibility studies, probable cost estimates, and energy modeling. Supervise the production of construction documents (i.e. plans, details, schedules, specifications) Provide construction administration for projects, ensuring quality control of work performed. Prioritize client care and effective communication. Requirements What you bring to the team: Professional attitude, ownership, and passion for your work A level of knowledge and commitment to lifelong learning Ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment with a focus on interdisciplinary collaboration Dedication to mentoring and training others with respect and loyalty Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent work experience 8+ years of relevant engineering experience, specifically in HVAC design Professional Engineer Registration (PE) is desired Proficiency in mechanical systems and the creation of construction documents Thorough knowledge of building codes and regulatory standards Fluency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) Expertise in Revit and other software programs associated with system sizing and design.
