Job summary:

The position for Mechanical Engineering Technician is one of the most important roles within the company. Some of the indispensable duties that the Mechanical Engineering Technician should expect to perform include, but are not limited to preparing sketches, operating heavy machinery, and performing important calculations on the product.

Key Responsibilities:

Primary duties:

• Comply with site safety, health and environmental systems, policies and procedures
• Execution of mechanical maintenance for the Site with focus on safety, quality, delivery, cost and continuous improvement
• Provide mechanical maintenance cover during machine breakdowns.
• Investigate, analyse and determine root causes of mechanical failures to improve machine reliability and availability, provide trouble shooting ideas and plan.
• Provide supports for other technicians and engineers in mechanical assembling and installation.
• Ensuring the finished products conformity with specifications.
• Participate in short and long-term maintenance planning and execution, including shutdowns
• Review work instructions, procedures and work scopes
• Commitment to work in a team environment Mechanical Technicians and Operations and support others in the team with skills and knowledge development
• Commitment to develop and keep up to date relevant technical skills, this includes statutory and compliance associated training.

Liaise with quality supervisor, senior technician, production manager and other staffs.

General duties:

· Reports to Engineering Technician Team Leader on any relevant issues, recommendation or feedback

· Maintains a high standard of professionalism and accountability

Selection Criteria:

Qualifications:

· An Associate degree or higher qualifications for Mechanical Engineering Technology are often required for this profession

Key Knowledge Areas:

· High level knowledge of mechanical engineering

· Understanding of industrial mechanical operation system

· Understanding of the operations mechanical equipment

Experience:

· Industry experience is preferred but not essential

Essential Capabilities:

· Goals orientated;

· The ability to identify and solve problem;

Salary:

AU$ 70,000- AU$100,000 per annum (gross) plus superannuation.
