The role provides hands-on experience in sugar manufacturing operations and includes responsibility for coordinating and reporting on repair schedules for the Mill Boiling House during the out-of-crop period. This position is offered as a structured two-year training program designed to develop practical engineering skills within an industrial plant environment.     Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field from an Accredited Engineering Institution Recent graduate or 0-2 years of relevant experience in Industrial Plant Processes and Equipment Operation and Maintenance is a plus Basic understanding of Industrial machinery and maintenance principles Knowledge of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and machine mechanics     Skills and Competencies:  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced industrial environment Good communication and teamwork abilities. Basic computer literacy (MS Office, exposure to CMMS is an asset). Attention to detail and strong safety awareness. Able to work in a plant-based role with exposure to heat, noise, and moving machinery. Able to sometimes work shifts, weekends, and on public holidays.                   Roles and Responsibilities: Assist with the development, coordinating and implementation of Preventive and Corrective Maintenance Schedule for mechanical equipment (mills, boilers, turbines, pumps, conveyors, centrifuges). Perform Maintenance, Troubleshooting, and Root Cause Analysis of Manufacturing Process and all related equipment failures. Participate in daily inspections and condition monitoring of plant machinery. Assist in the development and updating of maintenance schedules and records. Work with supervisors to ensure minimal downtime to improve efficiency, optimal equipment performance and mechanical reliability.   Support installation, commissioning and testing of new equipment. Participate in shutdown planning and execution activities.
