Description

About Tulip Tech
We’re a fast-moving startup building next-generation battery systems for drones and electric aircraft. Our batteries don’t live in PowerPoint — they fly. That means housings, structures, and assemblies that are light, strong, and manufacturable.
At Tulip Tech, you won’t just model in CAD — you’ll prototype, test, and improve designs until they survive heat, vibration, and flight. We value initiative, speed, and a no-nonsense, hands-on mentality.
The Role
As our Mechanical Engineer, you’ll design, prototype, and validate the enclosures and structures that protect and enable our battery systems. From SolidWorks to the workshop, you’ll own the mechanical side of making our products real.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design lightweight, compact, and thermally efficient enclosures in SolidWorks
  • Prototype with 3D printing, CNC machining, and other workshop tools
  • Validate designs with FEA and thermal analysis
  • Optimize for manufacturability, shock resistance, and durability
  • Collaborate with electronics, prototyping, and manufacturing teams
  • Document specifications, drawings, and BOMs
  • Help set up and improve design processes as we scale from prototype to production

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
  • 5+ years’ experience in mechanical design for manufacturing/production
  • Strong skills in SolidWorks (assemblies, drawings, BOMs)
  • Hands-on mentality: you don’t just model, you build and test
  • Experience with manufacturing methods (CNC, injection molding, sheet metal, extrusion)
  • Bonus: knowledge of thermofluids or thermal design

What We Offer

  • Salary: €4.500 – €5.500 gross/month (depending on experience)
  • 38 paid days off per year (25 vacation + 13 ADV via CAO Metaal & Techniek)
  • 8% holiday allowance, pension via PMT, travel reimbursement
  • Daily company lunch
  • A young, international team with regular team activities
  • Freedom to design, test, and own the mechanical side of flight-ready batteries

Soort dienstverband: Fulltime, Parttime
Salaris: €4.500,00 - €5.500,00 per maand

Arbeidsvoorwaarden:

  • Bedrijfsfeesten
  • Flexibele werkuren
  • Mogelijkheid tot promotie
  • Pensioen
  • Reiskostenvergoeding

Opleiding:

  • HBO (Gewenst)

Werklocatie: Fysie
