Description

About the Role:
We are currently seeking an experienced and creative Mechanical Engineers to join our company. The The position is full-time basis, with a salary ranging from $75,000 to $ 85,000 depending on experience. The successful applicant would be responsible for Structure steel detailing Design, and Quality Assurance, Equipment maintenance etc.
Responsibilities:
1. Design & Optimize Production Tooling/Jigs
- Develop mechanical jigs, fixtures, and material handling aids for the frame production line to enhance accuracy and throughput.
- Redesign existing tooling using CAD (SolidWorks/AutoCAD) to reduce setup time and minimize material waste during steel component fabrication.
2. Maintain Critical Plant Equipment
- Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshooting on the frame production line rollers, drives, and cutting systems, air compressor pneumatic circuits, and forklift hydraulic systems.
- Implement predictive maintenance schedules using vibration analysis/thermography to minimize downtime.
3. Upgrade Material Handling Systems
- Optimize workflow by designing ergonomic lifting fixtures and safety-compliant racking systems for raw steel stock (beams/plates) and finished products.
- Specify forklift attachments (e.g., coil clamps, spreader beams) for efficient transport of structural members.
4. Develop Facility Layouts & Utility Plans
- Plan compressed air piping networks from the air compressor to production stations (e.g., plasma cutters, painting booths).
- Redesign shop floor layouts to streamline material flow between cutting, welding, and assembly zones using forklift path analysis.
5. Enforce Safety & Compliance Standards
- Establish mechanical safety protocols for press brakes, rollers, and overhead cranes per OSHA/ANSI B30 standards.
- Conduct audits on equipment guards, lockout-tagout (LOTO) systems, and forklift operational safety.
6. Drive Energy Efficiency Initiatives
- Analyze air compressor load profiles and implement leakage-reduction programs to cut energy costs.
- Retrofit production line motors/VFDs for optimal power consumption during variable steel processing loads.
