Description
Mechanical Engineer to manage, optimize, and maintain the Stadium’s critical utility infrastructure. He/ She will play a key role in ensuring reliable, safe, and efficient operation of water systems, HVAC, and RO plant while supporting capital projects and continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities: Design, specify, and commission utility systems including chillers, cooling towers, pumps, compressors, water treatment, and HVAC networks Develop and maintain P&IDs, equipment specifications, load calculations, and utility balance sheets Perform troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions for utility system failures or performance degradation Lead or support capital improvement projects from feasibility studies and FEED through procurement, construction oversight, and commissioning Conduct energy audits, lifecycle cost analyses, and efficiency optimization initiatives (e.g., heat recovery, variable speed drives, system tuning) Prepare operating procedures, safety checklists, MOC documentation, and training materials for operations and maintenance teams Monitor and report KPIs such as system uptime, energy intensity, water consumption, maintenance cost, and carbon footprint Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Operations, EHS, Instrumentation, Contractors, and Vendor Engineers) and manage technical scopes of work Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering 7–10 years of engineering experience in industrial utilities, plant operations, or facility engineering Strong working knowledge of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, heat transfer, piping hydraulics, and rotating equipment Demonstrated experience with equipment specifications, vendor evaluation, and construction/commissioning support Solid understanding of project controls: budgeting, scheduling, risk assessment, and change management Excellent analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills Must have knowledge occupational health, safety and environmental compliance with applicable industry, governmental and/or international standards. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written with great ability to lead and direct teams
