About the Role Nature of position: Permanent, Full Time Location: Epping, VIC Reporting Line: Program Manager Key Responsibilities Service Stream has a long-term panel contract to deliver Yarra Valley Water’s Treatment Plant Improvements Program. Our Utilities division is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with experience in wastewater treatment design and or construction. The role will deliver interesting YVW multi disciplined D&C projects up to ~$7.5M from inception to completion. The role is based in Epping, with project sites in Melbourne’s eastern suburbs. The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for : Supporting the Project Manager in the delivery of projects Mechanical design, coordination and reviews Coordination with other engineering disciplines A limited amount of AutoCAD drafting is expected Develop work packages and procurement for various suppliers and subcontractors Managing, coordinating and monitoring others to undertake mechanical equipment installation / construction / site work Client liaison and reporting ; and Contract administration. About You Mechanical engineering degree ( honours ) or equivalent Recent mechanical engineering graduates living in the northern suburbs of Melbourne are encouraged to apply Up to 5 years’ water / wastewater treatment experience with a consultant or contractor As an experienced mechanical engineer, you have history of delivering projects efficiently and to a high standard Mechanical design experience, ideally in the wastewater industry Mechanical equipment installation / construction / site experience, ideally in the wastewater industry Effective communicator who enjoys working with suppliers and subcontractors Competent in AutoCAD Advanced math skills and the ability to understand "abstract" principles Financial management experience (with oversight) Ability to deal diligently, patiently, and professionally with internal stakeholders, clients, sub-contractors, and suppliers ; and Self-starter, able to determine own priorities and manage work accordingly.
