Safer Storage Systems has been providing industrial pallet racking and shelving solutions for warehouses and retailers throughout Australia for over 19 years. We are the exclusive Australian Supplier of the Gonvarri Material Handling network of brands. In the past few years, our business has grown exponentially as we began manufacturing our own Australian Made Silverline pallet racking range in our Dandenong South facility. Our Silverline racking is of the highest quality and is the most sustainable racking in the Australian market – cutting down on CO2 emissions by more than 85% from comparable international sources.
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Mechanical Engineering Draftsperson to prepare, design and cost customised storage solutions for our valued clients at our facility in Dandenong South. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years experience in the logistics and materials handling equipment industry.
Applicants must be competent in using AutoCAD and be fastidious, quick and accurate in their work. The ideal candidate will also have a strong work ethic and team player mentality.
Salary range: AUD $75,000.00 to $85,000.00 and is dependent upon the candidate’s skills and experience.

· Use AutoCAD, to prepare concept drawings, designs and customise plans to suit client needs
· Use Navision and Excel to undertake project costing
· In collaboration with team members, review project tenders
· Collaborate with team members throughout the design process to optimise outcomes
· Prepare purchase orders
· Perform field survey and measurements
· Attend site meetings and inspections
· Use SketchUp to design and model customised components
· Identify and communicate with management opportunities for continuous improvement in processes and workflow within the design department
· Comply with all Safer Storage System’s policies, Management Guidelines and procedures including Workplace Health and Safety requirements and code of conduct.
