To be considered for the role of a Mechanical Engineering Fitter Apprentice, you will have a keen eye for detail and take pride in completing work to a high-quality level.

YOU WILL ALSO REQUIRE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2 GCSE’s at grade C (4) or above, or equivalents in maths and English

PETA are proud to be working with Relay Engineering to recruit and train a Mechanical Engineering Fitter Apprentice. This opportunity is a full-time role based at their site in Portsmouth.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Joining the Relay Engineering team as a Mechanical Engineering Fitter Apprentice, you will be joining the instillation team to provide support and assistance to the site supervisor involved working on various vessels and sites.

You will learn a range of skills on the job, including:

  • Taught to interpret and work to drawings
  • Learn to interpret systems diagrams, written descriptions and instructions
  • Comply with legislation/regulation, standards, customer specifications, HSEQ policies and procedures
  • Comply with risk assessments and method statements
