Are you interested in manufacturing? Don’t want to spend your entire internship sitting at a desk? This position is for you!
Come discover the manufacturing world at Metaltech-Omega! We have a diversified machine park: mechanical/hydraulic presses; welding robots/manipulators; laser/water cutting machines; plastic injection molding machines; automated powder coating, and more!
This internship will allow you to explore different areas of engineering, such as pneumatics, hydraulics, mechanics, and automation, as well as various manufacturing processes.

The equipment improvement and reliability intern will have the opportunity to work in a young and dynamic team within the manufacturing engineering department. Focused on implementation solutions to minimize machine downtime, the intern will work directly with the maintenance director.
We are looking for someone who is curious, dynamic, autonomous, creative, and not afraid to get their hands dirty!

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s student in mechanical engineering.
  • Be available for a full-time internship in winter 2026 (January to April).
  • Fluency in French and functional English.
  • Ability to work well in a team.
  • Results-oriented and focused on completing tasks.
  • Attention to detail and thoroughness at work.
  • Have a creative mind and possess Leadership.
  • Ability to perform floor work while enjoying office work.
  • Knowledge of Office suite software (intermediate knowledge of Excel).
  • Knowledge of SolidWorks, Catia, or other design software (an asset).
  • In-person internship.
Responsibilities
  • Analysis of breakdowns and interventions: Observe equipment in the field, understand the causes of breakdowns and suggest ways of improvement.
  • Continuous improvement: Participate in projects to improve the reliability, maintenance, and optimization of existing equipment.
  • Technical Support: Contribute to the design, manufacture and installation of corrective solutions.
  • Documentation and recommendations: Write analysis reports and make technical recommendations based on field observations.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the electromechanics, the manufacturing engineering team, the production teamm and the quality team.
