We are on the hunt for a great Mechanical Engineering Technician. To be responsible for:
· Prepare drawings, plans and designs for mechanical engineering work under the direction of Mechanical Engineers and Engineering Technologists
· Assist Mechanical Engineers and Engineering Technologists in the design of mechanical equipment and plant
· Assemble and install new and modified mechanical assemblies, components, machine tools and controls, and hydraulic power systems
· Estimating material costs and quantities, and machine requirements
· Organising and supervising inspection and maintenance of machines and plant
· Ensuring that designs and finished work are within specifications, regulations and contract provisions
· Provide technical and sales support for capillary coil unit
· Maintain and develop maintenance schedule for all Slickline and Wireline equipment
· Assist in design and improvement of hydraulic equipment across all product lines
· Assist in the upkeep and maintenance of all black diamond equipment in usage/storage
· Assist Mechanic in Maintaining, repairing and manufacturing all systems, hydraulic / pneumatic / diesel / electrical.
· Assist team in Design mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems
· Assist team to Prepare & draft system schematics
· Assist team to Prepare & draft 2d & 3d engineering drawings for 3rd party manufacturing requirements
To be successful in this role you will need to meet the following criteria:
· At least 5 years of proven experience as a Mechanical Engineering Technician
· Experience in Hydraulics and Capillary Coil
· Working knowledge of pneumatic plants
Remuneration will be based on the right candidate’s experience. Job will be based in Redcliffe WA and no remote work available. Roster is 38 hours per week.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $110,000.00 – $120,000.00 per year
