Responsibilities

THE ROLE

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineering Technician to join our technical and maintenance team. This is a hands-on, full-time position that plays a critical role in supporting the smooth operation of our automated moulding and packaging machinery. Working under the supervision of the Process and Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring production line efficiency, minimising downtime, and supporting continuous technical improvement initiatives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Set up and adjust moulding machines during product changeovers to optimise tooling, temperature, and pressure settings.
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on injection moulding machines, robotic systems, conveyors, and packaging stations.
  • Support preventative maintenance scheduling by identifying and logging parts for replacement.
  • Collaborate with toolmakers and die setters to install and validate tooling components.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical faults to minimise production interruptions.
  • Assist with the installation and upgrade of machinery, ensuring safety standards are met.
  • Work closely with production and quality teams to resolve product deviations and ensure compliance with food safety requirements.
  • Contribute to process improvement projects, including energy efficiency monitoring and automation upgrades.
