KEY SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS:

· Experience (academic or industrial) in a technical field
· Experience working with a team (school or work, preferably large teams)
· High school diploma required; candidates without a college degree must have industrial experience

JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineering Technician (Product Development Tech) to join our Brea, CA facility. This role supports engineering teams by executing technical tasks, solving routine technical problems, and assisting in the development, testing, and documentation of product development processes.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

· High school diploma or equivalent.
· At least 6 years of lab or technician experience in a regulated environment OR equivalent school laboratory experience.
· Proven experience following written procedures and collaborating with a team.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor of Science in a technical field.
· At least 1 year of laboratory or R&D experience in a collaborative environment.
· Ability to understand and execute test procedures.
· Strong collaboration and communication skills in cross-functional teams.
· Basic problem-solving skills for routine technical challenges.
· Proficiency with personal computers and lab software.
· Ability to train and guide junior technicians.

· Collect, organize, and manage technical data, such as laboratory or material test results and engineering design changes.
· Generate engineering documents, reports, and drawings, including flow charts, block diagrams, and schematics.
· Prepare reports and summaries, including quantitative analyses.
· Provide technical support for engineers across various projects.
· Assist in equipment scoping, qualification, calibration, and routine maintenance.
· Support general lab operations, including safety compliance and equipment upkeep.
· Identify and report factors that may impact projects.
· Assist in developing prototype processes and test setups.
· Execute test protocols and document results accurately and effectively.
· Handle test samples and chemicals safely during testing and conditioning.
