MECHANICAL ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN – GRIFFITH NSW

Kogan People Solutions, recruiters, are working with a client who are recognized as one of the country’s leading designers and fabricators of stainless steel tanks, vessels and associated equipment. With over 50 years in the business, they have been at the forefront of stainless steel manufacture and design, providing complete vessel engineering solutions for various industries such as irrigation, mining, food and beverage and many more.
Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Engineering Technician to join their excellent manufacturing team in Griffith, NSW. A great salary in the range of $70k to $80k plus superannuation per annum is on the offer. The role is full-time and ongoing.

Responsibilities
  • Assisting Mechanical Engineers and Engineering Technologists in the design, development, and testing of mechanical equipment, systems and components.
  • Assembling and installing new and modified mechanical assemblies, components, production facilities, machine tools and controls, and hydraulic power systems by selecting appropriate tools such as saws, drills, and welding equipment and more sophisticated equipment as required.
  • Performing and directing diagnostic, routine, and performance tests of the mechanical systems and plants to identify potential issues.
  • Inspecting production facilities for damage caused by corrosion, structural failure, or leaks.
  • Maintaining records of all factory operations, including repair schedules and material inventories.
  • Organizing and supervising inspection and maintenance of machines and plants.
  • Evaluating new technology for use in equipment upgrades or repair projects.
  • Installing and maintaining equipment for monitoring production facilities.
