Salary: $76,515 - $80,000 per annum + Superannuation
Full-time, 38 hours per week
Topweld General Engineering Pty Ltd is seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Engineering Technician to join our team in carrying out various mechanical tasks and responsibilities.

CORE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Solid knowledge of mechanical principles and how systems and components function.
  • Proficiency in identifying and resolving mechanical problems.
  • Ability to interpret and evaluate technical data from tests and performance analysis.
  • Strong attention to detail in applying quality control procedures and conducting inspections.
  • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work collaboratively with engineers and other staff.
  • Understanding of health and safety requirements, with a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.

Qualifications and Experience required:

  • Minimum Diploma level qualification, or at least three years of proven relevant industry experience

Responsibilities
  • Perform assessments on mechanical equipment and systems to evaluate functionality and detect any faults.
  • Support engineers and technical staff in creating and improving mechanical designs and systems.
  • Gather and examine results from mechanical trials and experiments to support development processes.
  • Participate in quality assurance procedures, checking components and systems for compliance and efficiency.
  • Assemble or fit mechanical parts and machinery, ensuring they meet design and performance requirements.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to improve workflow and meet production goals.
  • Comply with organizational procedures and operational guidelines at all times.
  • Maintain adherence to workplace safety practices and consistently follow quality standards.
