SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Ability to provide commissioning assistance, and/or System configuration
  • An understanding of Australian Standards, Fire Alarm –Electrical systems knowledge
  • High standards of HSEQ compliance for self and encourage others to do the same
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Inner city and surrounding areas fit outs, expansions, and new installations.

Responsibilities

THE ROLE

Firesafe are looking for a Mechanical Engineers to plan, design and oversee the mechanical and process plant and installation t on a full time basis.

DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

· Produce hydraulic calculations, pipe sizing, pipe supports, drawings and fabrication sheets in line with the appropriate standards, scope of work and constructability to a very high standard, and review the work of junior design-team members to promote ongoing improvement
· Attend site meetings/client meetings when required
· Provide technical assistance and problem-solving ideas to designers and PM’s and other operational staff as required
· Be available to discuss with Procurement Manager, PM’s, Leading hands and other stakeholders as required
· Ensure your own safety and health at work and that of your work mates
· Comply with all lawful and reasonable instructions given by your employer
· Adhere to all Health, Safety, Environment & quality legislation, policies and procedures at all times
