OUR REQUIREMENTS

• Experience gained in a similar role as an Mechanical Estimator preferable, although applications are welcome from Trainee Estimators looking for the next step in their career
• Mechanical industry knowledge, both domestic and commercial, with good working knowledge of mechanical building services installations
• Experience in electrical estimating would be advantageous
• Ability to read and understand mechanical plans and drawings
• Good IT skills, with working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Superb attention to detail, with drive to succeed and work well in a fast-paced environment
• A full UK driving licence
  Although not essential, experience working with Estim8 Xtreme Software, and CYPHER1 estimating packages would be advantageous

THE ROLE

Reporting to the Estimating Manager, as the Mechanical Estimator you’ll collaborate and maintain communications with our on-site engineers, managers, suppliers, subcontractors to ensure the necessary resources are provided to complete a wide range of installations. This is a varied role, with predominantly estimating duties including:

• Prepare detailed and accurate estimates for mechanical systems, including materials, labour, equipment, and sub-contractor costs.
• Obtain quotations from suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing and ensure project requirements are met.
• Identify potential risks and value engineering options within the project scope.
• Work with design teams, Contracts manager, and other estimators to ensure estimates align with project requirements.
• Participate in post-tender negotiations and handover to project teams.

This position is based at our offices in Nantwich, with occasional site visits required.

WHILE THE ROLE IS BASED IN NANTWICH, IT IS EASILY COMMUTABLE FROM CREWE, CHESTER, AND THE SURROUNDING AREAS.
