Description Reports to – General Manager Job Summary: You will be responsible for providing accurate and detailed cost estimates for mechanical components and systems in construction projects. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical trades and construction processes, as well as excellent analytical and organizational skills. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and be able to effectively multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Job Duties: Review and evaluate requests for estimates and project quotes, as needed Prepare weekly bid calendar and ensure timely completion of estimates Prepare and review estimates and revisions for completeness and accuracy. Create job folders Input take-offs of construction documents Review construction documents and understand scope of work to bid Obtain pricing for materials and bids from subcontractors Make an estimate where predetermined standards are not available Inform immediate supervisor of any observed inaccuracies or omissions in quoted items or computer database Maintain estimating procedures and guidelines Develop and maintain resource information on products, vendors, subcontractors Attend branch meetings Requirements Qualifications: Demonstrate strong ability to work in fast paced environment Excellent computer skills and capability to adeptly operate Microsoft Office Suite and any other software required Strong customer service skills Maintain excellent regular attendance, punctuality to ensure a high-quality and timely response for customers Must perform work accurately and with a sense of urgency and integrity while paying strict attention to detail College degree preferred 3-5 years of work experience Must have a familiar understanding of Mechanical Drawings Essential Functions: Keyboarding Converse verbally on phone and in person Identify and check written documents in mail and on computer Must be able to see and interpret computer images
