Description Mechanical Estimator – Relocation to Dallas–Fort Worth Location: Relocation to Dallas–Fort Worth, TX Job Type: Full-Time | On-Site (DFW) Compensation: $125,000 – $145,000 Base + Performance Bonus Relocate Your Career to One of Texas’ Fastest-Growing Markets RLP Mechanical is seeking a sales-driven Mechanical Estimator based in the Houston area who is open to relocating to Dallas–Fort Worth to help expand our footprint in one of the most active commercial construction markets in the country. This is not a back-office estimating role—this is a high-impact position focused on winning work, building relationships, and driving revenue growth. What You’ll Do Drive New Project Opportunities Build and maintain strong relationships with general contractors, developers, and owners Identify and pursue new commercial mechanical construction opportunities Actively engage with GCs to position RLP Mechanical for upcoming work Attend networking events, client meetings, and industry functions Win Work Through Strategic Estimating Prepare detailed HVAC and plumbing estimates for projects ranging from $500K to $15M+ Develop competitive bid strategies that help secure profitable projects Review drawings, specs, and design documents to create complete scopes and takeoffs Lead the bid process from opportunity through submission Lead Preconstruction Efforts Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and leadership on system design and constructability Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor pricing Participate in pre-bid meetings, bid reviews, and client presentations Maintain organized bid documentation and pricing strategies Build Long-Term Client Relationships Develop trusted partnerships with GCs and project stakeholders Represent RLP Mechanical professionally throughout the preconstruction process Help position the company as a preferred mechanical contractor in DFW What We’re Looking For Commercial HVAC and/or plumbing estimating experience (required) Strong background in mechanical construction estimating & preconstruction Experience with large commercial or industrial projects Proven ability to help win work and generate new opportunities Existing relationships with contractors or developers (DFW or transferable network preferred) Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, construction sequencing, and pricing Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines Proficiency with estimating software (Trimble or similar) and Excel Excellent communication and relationship-building skills Valid driver’s license Compensation & Benefits Competitive Pay $125,000 – $145,000 base salary (DOE) Performance-based bonus tied to project wins Potential relocation assistance available Full Benefits Package Medical, dental, and vision insurance Life insurance Short- and long-term disability 401(k) with company match Generous PTO and paid holidays Why Join RLP Mechanical?
