Reporting to the General Manager, the Estimator will be responsible for providing timely and accurate quotes for all commercial projects. Additionally, this role will supervise the Junior Estimator.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previous experience in a project management or estimating role, preferably within the plumbing and heating industry.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and estimating software.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects effectively.

• Review project documents, including specifications, drawings and other relevant information.
• Perform accurate material take-offs and cost estimations.
• Create and develop Microsoft Excel spreadsheets for detailed estimates.
• Communicate and collaborate with contractors, subcontractors and suppliers to stay up-to-date.
• Produce and submit clarifications and PCN pricing for projects as required.
• Manage data entry and maintenance of estimating software.
• Attend site visits and other meetings as needed.
• Assemble accurate quotes and pricing for projects.
• Participate in meetings with the estimating manager for reviews and assignments.
• Obtain accurate and competitive pricing for equipment and materials.
• Obtain bid bonds and surety documents, as required.
• Review subcontractor bids to assess capability, as well as identify and mitigate any trade scope gaps.
• Meet with the project foremen to discuss job details as required.
