QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong proficiency in cost estimating, budget preparation, and project costing
  • Experience with reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and specifications
  • Knowledge of materials, labor costs, and market trends in the mechanical industry
  • Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and estimating software
  • Relevant educational background in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
  • Professional certification such as Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) is a plus
Responsibilities

This is a full-time on-site role for a Mechanical Estimator located in Burnaby, BC. The Mechanical Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for various mechanical projects. Key tasks will include analyzing project plans and specifications, identifying material and labor requirements, and collaborating with project managers and engineers to ensure estimates are comprehensive. The Mechanical Estimator will also participate in bid reviews, manage supplier and subcontractor relationships, and maintain detailed records of all estimates and related documentation.
