Job Description 🚀 The Job Mission The role is primarily focused on mechanical engineering, working closely with other disciplines and multiple on‑site stakeholders, including contractors (main suppliers and sub‑suppliers), Construction, Quality, Project Management, and Design teams (both on site and in the JDO back office). ⚡ Manage queries, non‑conformances, change requests, and exemption requests raised by the MEH Contractor. ⚡ Ensure nuclear safety and environmental regulatory requirements are met. ⚡ Provide technical assessments and support to the integrated project team on contractor queries. ⚡ Perform nuclear safety and environmental categorisation of technical queries. ⚡ Challenge engineering decisions to ensure design solutions align with overall project strategy. ⚡ Coordinate technical support from external organisations when required. ⚡ Support the resolution and closure of open technical points. ⚡ Identify, assess, and manage technical risks. ⚡ Maintain strong working relationships with EDF EPR Engineering (Responsible Designer). ⚡ Report operationally to the Engineering Lead.
