MECHANICAL FIELD SERVICE ENGINEER

Aversan Inc. (www.aversan.com) is a trusted multi-service engineering and electronics manufacturing company. Aversan delivers leading-edge and reliable safety-critical electronics and software systems to the aerospace, defence, and space industries.
We are seeking a Mechanical Field Service Engineer to provide technical support to Field Service Supervisors. The role involves managing operational metrics, overseeing contract financial health, coordinating schedules in the Service Management System (SMS), and managing work orders to determine chargeability. You may also visit customer sites and interact directly with clients to ensure high-quality service delivery.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Building, Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, etc.).
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in related fields.
  • Bilingual (French & English) – written and spoken.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Experience in HVAC and building mechanics, including air conditioning, heating systems, mechanical and pneumatic controllers.
  • Knowledge of building operating systems, including direct digital control, access control, video/camera systems, fire detection, and IT/network integration.
  • Proven team leadership experience.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills across organizational levels.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Responsibilities
  • Support Field Service Supervisors with administrative and technical tasks.
  • Collect, analyze, and report performance data.
  • Manage contract health, identify financial risks, and ensure contract renewals.
  • Schedule and coordinate work in the SMS system.
  • Determine chargeability of work orders.
  • Allocate and supervise work on projects.
  • Achieve high customer satisfaction by meeting deadlines, budgets, and client requirements.
  • Identify and implement process improvements.
  • Ensure operational and financial targets are met, including margin growth and customer retention.
  • Use service management tools for resource forecasting, planning, and evaluation.
  • Travel up to 25% within the Greater Montreal area.
