As both a designer and manufacturer, Transvac maintains full control over the design, raw material procurement, manufacturing, scheduling, and testing processes.
We are currently seeking a MECHANICAL FITTER AND MAINTENANCE ENGINEER to join our busy Head Office in Alfreton, Derbyshire.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Apprentice Trained / Time served
  • City & Guilds – Craft NVQ Level 2 / 3 - Engineering
  • Relevant Industry Experience
  • Right to Work in the UK
Responsibilities
  • Provide support to, and report directly to, the Workshop Manager.
  • Perform hydrotesting, painting, packing, and assembly tasks as required of Transvac products.
  • Read and understand bespoke engineering drawings
  • Mechanical assembly of products consisting of structural components, pumps, motors, valves, manifolds, manipulators, specialist external equipment etc.
  • Assisting with the build of fabricated assemblies
  • Using a variety of hand and power tools in assembly and quality assurance
  • Ensure production quality standards are upheld and delivery deadlines are consistently met.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for improvement and make constructive recommendations.
  • Maintain a safe and tidy working environment in line with company Health & Safety policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to Health and Safety procedures and policies.
  • Demonstrate good housekeeping practices.
  • Undertake upgrades, decorating, and general maintenance across all company facilities as and when time permits
  • Other reasonable tasks, at the request of management, commensurate with pay.
