About the role: Reporting to the Production Supervisor (Mechanical), the Mechanical Fitter is responsible for working within a team to carry out the installation and alignment of main and secondary equipment into vessels, including drivelines, to achieve minimum production time and maximum quality, while maintaining a positive and motivated team environment. Required Skills / Experience / Attributes: Essential Relevant trade qualifications or equivalent experience. At least 2 years' experience in shipbuilding Industry. At least high school or technical training/vocational school graduate. Desirable Shaft alignment knowledge Machine shop knowledge Leadership experience Computer literacy if any Strong communication skills Preferably has experience in operating laser alignment equipment.
