Role Summary
We’re looking for a skilled and reliable Mechanical Fitter to join our growing operation. You’ll be responsible for assembling, maintaining, and repairing mechanical systems and components—primarily on plant machinery and drilling rigs also associated equipment. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced, practical environment and takes pride in precision work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out mechanical repairs and routine maintenance on plant/drilling rigs and attachments
  • Assemble and fit components to engineering drawings and specifications
  • Perform on-site diagnostics and fault-finding
  • Assist in fabrication and welding tasks as required
  • Support the design and build of bespoke drilling equipment
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and a safe working environment
  • Collaborate with engineers and project managers to meet deadlines and quality standards

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a mechanical fitter, ideally in drilling, construction, or heavy plant
  • Strong understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Skilled in fabrication and basic welding techniques
  • Full UK driving licence (preferred)
  • CSCS card or equivalent (advantageous)
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail
