PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES:



    • Analyse, develop and implement programs for plant optimisation

    • Follow maintenance planning schedules in order to maximise quality production output
    • Maintain and develop computer driven manufacturing equipment and control systems
    • Apply mechanical solutions to the automatic transfer of material, components or finished goods
    • Provide assistance and training to plant operators for equipment maintenance and use
    • Assist in developing tests/ fixtures for components and finished products
    • Liaise with contractors and suppliers.

    ESSENTIAL SKILLS:



      • 2+ years’ experience on fixed plant machinery, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

      • Some steel and plate Fabrication experience
      • Ability to work shifts, inclusive of call back and weekend work (as required)
      • Demonstrated ability to read hydraulic and pneumatic drawings
      • Some hydraulic and pneumatic fault-finding ability.
      • Some welding experience and knowledge

      DESIRABLE SKILLS:



        • Microsoft Windows and other Office programs

        • Dogmen ticket
        • Forklift licence
        • High risk licence, EWP, working at heights, confined space
        • PLC and automation knowledge
        • Restricted electrical licence
        Responsibilities

        This position is responsible for attending to plant and equipment breakdowns, completing scheduled routine preventative maintenance and providing technical assistance within a continuous improvement environment to optimise the manufacturing process.
