Our client is currently recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Fitter Engineer for a contractual assignment based in Blackburn, BB2
The Mechanical fitter is required to They maintain and repair a wide range of mechanical systems, including HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), plumbing and fire protection systems

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

• DBS Certificate

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Perform maintenance, repairs, and inspections on mechanical building services, in line with operational procedures and legislation.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on mechanical services as per the PPM programme.
• Respond promptly to breakdown requests and assist with installation and upgrade work.
• Diagnose faults safely and systematically on malfunctioning equipment.
• Follow safety procedures and use appropriate protective equipment.
• Participate in the on-call/standby rota after a qualifying period.
• Coordinate with wards and departments to minimize disruption during work.
• At least 5 years of experience in building services maintenance.
• Experience with AHUs, FCUs, LTHW, pumps, valves, and other mechanical systems.
• Strong awareness of risk assessments and safety protocols.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations.
• Ability to work with technical plans and diagrams.
