KEY SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENTS:

  • Level 3 Mechanical / Electrical qualification required
  • Prior experience of Pumps, motors or gearboxes and overhaul
  • Ability to work unassisted and solo when required, whilst maintaining good team ethics
  • Understanding of detailed measurement techniques and working to tolerances
  • High level of health & safety awareness in the workplace on customer sites
  • Flexible attitude to learn new skills and functions within the team & role
Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

  • Workshop Fitter role based in the pump department: ability to strip / inspect / repair of pumps, motors and gearbox’s.
  • Creation of detailed inspection reports / fault diagnosis / identification of failure mode
  • Decipher OEM drawings, tolerances and spare parts identification
  • Working on, repairing and maintaining a wide range of rotating equipment including Motors, Gearboxes and Pumps working to and complying with the companies health & safety procedures and adhering to company SSW & RAMS.
  • Working in ERIKS engineering facilities both in house and on site at a variety of customer sites in the area, within a busy 24 hour 7 day a week operation supporting strategic customers from a well-equipped workshop environment.
