Are you an experienced Mechanical Fitter? Our client based in Chesterfield are looking for a Mechanical Fitter to join their engineering team at their busy production facility.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on engineer who thrives in a fast-paced, heavy industrial setting and is keen to develop their career toward future leadership roles.

REQUIREMENTS/ SKILLS:

• Time-served, apprentice-trained mechanical engineer is essential
• NVQ Level 3 or higher in Mechanical Engineering is essential
• Proven experience in a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment
• Experience working with pumps, rotating machinery, and bearings is essential
• Knowledge of steam systems and pressure equipment is a plus
• Someone eager to learn, team-oriented, and driven toward personal growth
  Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Schedule:

• 12 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday

Work Location: In perso

• Maintain and repair mechanical plant, including pumps, rotating machinery, and bearings
• Support with steam boilers and pressure systems
• Work as part of an on-call rota to provide engineering cover
• Contribute during planned maintenance shutdowns
• Operate in a fast-paced, safety-critical manufacturing environment
