    Grange Resources Tasmania is on the lookout for a Mechanical Fitter to join our operation in Savage River.
    We are seeking a reliable and motivated Mechanical Fitter and Machinist to perform mechanical maintenance duties on the equipment at the Concentrator.
    In this role, you will work 4 days on 4 days off day shift roster and coverage of rotating day and night shift when required.

We’re Grange Resources, Australia’s oldest and most experienced magnetite producer - combining both mining and pellet production expertise. Based in northwest Tasmania, we own and operate Australia’s largest integrated iron ore mining and pellet production business.
Grange holds long term supply contracts for one million tonnes of its annual production and offers the balance of its production to market via a spot sales tendering/contracting process.

Responsibilities

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Carrying out and assisting in all mechanical maintenance and repairs to fixed plant and equipment
  • Working safely and undertaking all duties required for the position in a diligent and competent manner
  • Carrying out and assisting in all mechanical maintenance and repairs to fixed plant and equipmen

To be successful in this role you have:

  • A relevant mechanical trade qualification
  • Experience in preventative maintenance in a fixed plant heavy industrial environment
  • The ability and commitment to work safely in an isolated environment with minimal supervision
  • A current full manual driver licence
  • Basic computer skills
  • Certificates in Dogging, Rigging, EWP, Forklift
  • Sound verbal and written communication skills
  • Previous experience with Gyratory crushers, Autogenous Mill, Ball Mill, Warman Pumps and Conveyor circuit
